After a brutal civil war that devastated the country from 1991 to 2001 and saw a third of the population flee into exile, Sierra Leone (or “Salone”, as everyone calls it) is now enjoying peace and stability. With foreign investment piling in and the country’s infrastructure being rebuilt, Sierra Leone is reclaiming its pre-war reputation as one of West Africa’s most attractive destinations. . .
