Ever stoical in the face of misfortune, Zimbabweans have for some time been claiming that their troubled nation is on the mend. Now that an uneasy political equilibrium has been achieved and the Zimbabwean dollar scrapped in favour of the US dollar, setting economic wheels back in motion, their claims are beginning to look more realistic. Tensions remain, however, and you’d be wise to exercise a degree of caution when planning a visit, particularly if you intend to explore much beyond the relatively safe haven of Victoria Falls. . .
