Uganda is East Africa’s great secret – a country of welcoming people, historic kingdoms, glacier-capped mountains and Rousseau-esque rainforests, lakes and waterfalls, with a slew of wonderful national parks to boot. From the visitor’s perspective, with its gorilla-tracking and the foremost rainforest tourism in Africa, as well as classic safari parks and adrenaline sports, Uganda is only missing a sea coast, and even on that score the Ssese islands are compensation. . .
